Interview

01. How do you both complement each other as photographers?

At Jovi Fotógrafos we like teamwork based on specialisation. Both Marc and Claudia work in a very creative way, but from two very different perspectives: Marc has a highly technical profile and more than 35 years of experience in the sector. On the other hand, Claudia works as an art director in any field of image and develops the photographic technique from the fusion of different artistic disciplines.

Together we work as a complete team in which we develop each project individually and on the basis of synergy with the client.

02. Could you tell us about a special project that has moved you or has had an important meaning for you?

In all the sessions we grow and there are always funny anecdotes, but possibly the most important session we have done together was, without a doubt, the first one in which we developed the new image of Jovi+. “Aereal Girl” was a session in which more than 20 production people took part: transport, catering, making of, make-up, styling, assistance and of course the whole Jovi Fotógrafos team from the photography and art side.

In addition, it was not only a complicated production job in the middle of June, but we also added the idea of working with airplanes in motion and playing with the idea of taking the dream photo without editing: a plane taking off over the model while we shoot the photo.

03. How has the shooting experience improved using Broncolor lighting equipment? Are there any accessories that stand out?

For more than 50 years in the industry, we have always relied on broncolor. Just as the world is advancing technologically, so is broncolor, and proof of this is our latest acquisition from the brand: the portable Siros L 800. We use it both for working on location and for our set, as it is fully integrated with our existing indoor equipment, the Pulso A4.

Regarding the accessories, they all play an important role because being a studio specialised in product photography, advertising and fashion, each image needs a different type of lighting. Broncolor with its accessories helps us to be able to specifically specify each job to give the perfect finish to our photographs.
